The Jewels of HOPE mission is to support marginalized, exploited women in their journey to realizing their own dreams to a safe and healthy life.
My story includes personal and family experiences with mental health issues, addiction and recovery. For me, giving back to those still struggling is an integral part of my life. While living in Vancouver, I spent time volunteering at a drop in centre for females in the Downtown Eastside. I was grateful to use my trade to provide monthly haircut evenings and connect personally with homeless women.
When we moved into this area I really wanted to be able to participate in similar activities but realized this was going to be logistically difficult. I made contact with the Vernon chapter of H.O.P.E. Okanagan and fell in love with the Jewels of Hope project. I am truly excited to be a retail partner of this worthwhile organization! These lovely bracelets are handcrafted monthly by marginalized, homeless women. The proceeds all go towards the Outreach Program! I feel such gratitude for being able to be a small part of this project!
Yoga classes & events
A private studio located in the cozy community of Falkland, I am grateful to be able to offer gentle, all levels Hatha yoga. Please contact me with your yoga needs. I can provide private one-on-one classes, small group classes, mini retreats, and am very interested in collaboration with other teachers and modalities!
