Yoga offerings in Falkland BC

I discovered yoga around 2010 after sustaining a running injury. Naturally, I was first drawn to the physical aspects of the modality, but soon began to notice it’s calming and centering effects.

Desiring to learn more about the practice, I took my first teacher training in the summer of 2012 at Salt Spring Centre of Yoga. I began to sub and teach regular weekly Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga classes at Sun and Sage Yoga in Quesnel. I was blessed to participate in the building of this studio with my longtime friend and teacher, Tanya Garland.

Please contact me with your yoga needs.

I can provide private, one on one classes, small group classes, mini retreats and am very interested in collaboration with other teachers and modalities! My home location is between Kamloops and Vernon and close to several other small communities. I am willing to travel to facilitate at your events!

In the spring of 2014, I found Kundalini Yoga through an online course - Beyond Addiction- A Yogic Path to Recovery and was amazed at how it helped me with the depression and addiction issues I was struggling with at that time.

I was inspired to complete my Kundalini Yoga Teacher training at Yoga West in Vancouver in 2015. I spent 3 years dividing my time between Vancouver and Quesnel. During this time I worked the front desk at Yoga West and eventually had a regular weekly Kundalini class at that studio.

My yoga journey.

I also got involved in helping to facilitate a Beyond Addiction series offered in Vancouver with the amazing Sat Dharam Kaur and Gabor Mate. When in Quesnel, I offered Kundalini classes and workshops at Sun and Sage as well as subbing some of the regular classes at the studio. Eventually, I made my home in Vancouver and got involved with Innergy Corporate Yoga, teaching noon hour yoga in the board rooms of large downtown corporations, Microsoft and Amazon to name a couple. In the winter of 2019 I took off on three months of travel to Bali and Thailand where I had the fortune to explore some beautiful studios and meet some amazing teachers. I lived in the Lower Mainland for a few months upon my return and continued with some corporate yoga instruction as well as giving private classes.

My teaching experience extends to several retreats and private venues and co-teaching the Beyond Addiction program at Karma Teachers in Vancouver.

Continued education over my time as a instructor includes Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training with Nicole Marcia, Yoga and Cancer with Tracy Chetna Boyd, Mindful Strength with Kathryn Bruni-Young and Kundalini Yoga Level 2 Teacher modules. My personal practice focuses a great deal on strength, I regularly lift weights and run as well. My teaching style reflects this body focus with a mindfulness around modifications for everyone’s needs. I am a Yoga Alliance RYT 400 and am insured.

Home now in the cozy community of Falkland, I have been grateful to be able to offer gentle, all levels Hatha yoga.

I started Yoga in the Garden, the summer of 2022 in my beautiful yard. I now have regular community classes at the Sunday Morner’s Hall in Falkland. I am looking forward to spring as I have been invited to offer senior’s yoga to another close community.
